 Higher Education for Acquisition (HEfA) programme

Higher Education for Acquisition (HEfA) programme aims to meet the DE&S requirement for upskilling, providing development of OF5 and Band B or 1* personnel working in Acquisition.

HEfA comprises three modules:

·       The Defence Strategic Commercial Programme (DSCP);
·       Defence Strategic Support Management (DSSM);
·       Defence Strategic Portfolio and Programme Management (DSPPM).

These can be taken individually and each is a short residential course at Beckett House in Shrivenham.  Because accommodation is provided in Beckett House at Officers' Mess rates, and there are no course fees (the HEfA programme is part of the core DA-CMT portfolio provided for MOD), this is a low-cost option for Continuing Professional Development, an important consideration in these times of financial stringency.

The next DSPPM course will be held from 2 - 5 February 2010, and DSSM follows on 15th - 18th March.  DSCP will be held on 19th - 22nd April and is currently full, with a waiting list, but dates for future iterations of all courses will be included in DA-CMT Course planners.

For further details of these courses please see the Leadership and Management prospectus, for all other courses please check the website (WWW.DA.MOD.UK/CMT) or telephone us on 01793 314485 and choose Option 3 from the menu.
