System Safety Management
Course Code SSM
Description: A course which describes, and gives details of, the main elements required for System Safety Management in Defence Acquisition.
Aim: To provide up-to-date guidance on the current policies and principles of System Safety Management and how they are implemented throughout the acquisition cycle.
Exam: The course content is subject to an assessment endorsed by the University of York at the end of the course.
Duration: 3 days non-residential.
Pre-Requisites: Attendance on the System Safety Awareness (SSA) course is mandatory. Appreciation of the MOD’s acquisition life cycle.
Designed For: All personnel involved in Safety Management in Defence.
