"Where's my stuff? When will it get here
and what's being done about it?"
One of the greatest challenges on any
operation is ensuring that all of the right stuff is in
the right place at the right time. This complex and
massive challenge is often not fully understood by those
not directly involved in the process. Part of the
solution is getting people across Defence to develop a
greater understanding of how the End-to-End Supply Chain
works and how they can help it to work more effectively.
Key Logistics Messages (KLMs) have been developed with
ACDS (LogOps) to help achieve this common understanding.
They come in two levels: level 1 for new entry officers
and SNCOs and level 2 for junior officers with around
five years experience and NCOs at Warrant Officer level.
